Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sit an external exam to complete this course?

No. Business English for Professionals is an Examova course, not an external certification exam. You study, practise, and track your own progress — there is no external body, no exam booking, and no formal assessment required.

Who is this course for?

Working professionals who communicate in English at work — whether in emails, meetings, presentations, or negotiations. It is particularly useful if English is your second language and you want to close the gap between general English and confident professional use. No specific prior English qualification is required.

What CEFR level does this course target?

The course is aligned to CEFR B1–B2, the levels at which professionals can handle most workplace communication tasks with reasonable fluency. B1 is sufficient for routine work communication; B2 supports senior, client-facing, and cross-border roles. The course helps you practise and consolidate skills across that range.

What modules are covered?

Eight modules: Professional Emails and Writing, Meetings and Discussions, Presentations and Public Speaking, Negotiation and Persuasion, Business Vocabulary and Terminology, Grammar for Professionals, Reading and Comprehension, and Cross-Cultural Communication. Each module focuses on one workplace function with dedicated practice questions.

What types of practice questions are included?

Multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, matching, and gap-fill exercises — all based on real workplace contexts. There are also six reading-comprehension passages drawn from professional scenarios. The variety reflects how business English skills are actually used on the job.

Is this course worth it if I already speak English reasonably well?

General English fluency and professional English are different things. Most non-native English speakers who work in international environments find specific gaps — in formal email tone, negotiation phrasing, or cross-cultural meeting dynamics — that general English study does not address. This course targets those gaps directly.

How long does the course take?

It is fully self-paced, so the timeline is up to you. Most learners work through one or two modules at a time alongside their job — there is no deadline and no session to book. Your progress is saved, so you can pick up where you left off whenever you study.

Can I access the course on mobile?

Yes. The platform is fully mobile-responsive. Practise on your commute, between meetings, or whenever you have a few minutes — no app download required.
